Placemtent Testing 2008-2009 Placemtent Testing 2008-2009

If you are interested in either the Spanish I, French I or Algebra I placement exams, here is what you need to do.  Go to the www.johnpauliihs.org website and then click on “Spanish and Math Placement Exam.”  You will be filling out a form that will send an e-mail to the Math and Foreign Language department heads.  Please fill out the form entirely and submit it via the website.  You should receive a confirmation e-mail that your registration has been received within two business days. 

 

When you fill out your form, please give the full name of the student, the student’s address, the test for which they are registering , an e-mail address for return confirmation, the last level of math or Spanish class taken, what school you are coming from and an emergency contact number in case we need to contact you the morning of or during the test. 

 

Here are the testing dates and times:

  Saturday May 10: (Spanish/French at 9:00 AM and Algebra at 11:00 AM)

  Saturday May 24: (Algebra at 9:00 AM and Spanish/French at 11:00 AM)

  Thursday Aug 7: (for late registrants only) (Algebbra at 9:00 AM and Span/French at  11:00 AM)

 

On the day of the test, please arrive at John Paul II High School 15 minutes early in order to check in with test proctors.  Bring several number two pencils for both Spanish and Algebra exams.  Bring a calculator for the Algebra exam.  The test should take 90 minutes.  Once the tests have been graded, a post card will be mailed to your home with the class into which you will be placed.  NO GRADE WILL BE POSTED on the note card.  You should receive the card within one week of taking the test.
