Spanish III CP Spanish III CP

Spanish III is a continuing study of the Spanish world, its language and its people. Emphasis is still placed on oral skills while reading and writing skills are going to become highly important. The student will understand and discuss the interrelationships of both the English and Spanish languages, cultural similarities and differences in our world.  The focus of this course is on high proficiency.  Speaking in Spanish is our goal.  We will transition in this year from English to Spanish.

Students will have one McDougall-Littell text for this class.  The hard cover book En Español (Texas Edition ISBN 0618433082)  is the required text.  If you would like to have another resource, McDougall-Littell makes a Take Home Tutor (ISBN 618345663) for additional outside practice and study.

At all levels students are graded using a variety of methods.  Students may be graded using an old fashion pencil and paper test, a more modern use of oral recordings, their ability on a formal writing assignment or a cultural production.

Daily study of vocabulary is very important.  For each student to be successful and enjoy the class, they need to understand what is being said and asked of them.  Our goal at this level is to continue and foster communication with the students in the target language.
