AP Spanish Language and Literature
|
|
Both AP Spanish courses stress the development of fluency in oral skills, comprehension of Spanish literature and history, expository composition, and expanded use of grammar. Both courses utilize higher level/critical thinking and focus on the development of accuracy and fluency in the written and spoken language. The focus of both courses is an intermediate to advanced proficiency. These courses meet the requirements of Spanish collegiate studies. AP Spanish IV emphasizes reading, writing, and speaking of the language at nearly a bilingual level. In AP Spanish V students study the literary and historical accomplishments of the Spanish speaking world. Students will have the opportunity to take advanced placement examinations at the conclusion of each course. Students will take the AP Spanish Language Exam after Spanish IV - AP. The AP Spanish Literature Exam will be taken after Spanish V - AP.
