BENTON ART CLUB ACTIVITIES 2007-08 Dates are subject to change, but this is the schedule to date. Meetings are held in the HS art room unless otherwise noted. DATE TIME ACTIVITY___________________ Sunday, September 16 11am2:30pm Face Painting Meet at the Central Lutheran School in Newhall. Need 2 people per hour shift. Sign up in art room. Pick up face painting materials in art room. ______________________________________________________________________________ Monday, September 24 3:30-6 pm Make Homecoming & Fall Sports Buttons Meet in the art room. We will be making Homecoming and Fall Sports buttons that will be sold at all attendance centers the next week. ______________________________________________________________________________ Mon., Tues., Wed., Thurs. Oct. 1,2,3,4 Seminar Sell Homecoming & Fall Sports Buttons We will sell buttons during seminar and before/after school in the art room. Mon., Tues., Wed., Thurs., Oct. 1,2,3,4 Seminar Make Homecoming & Fall Sports Buttons if needed Meet in art room during 11-12 seminar, before and after school. _____________________________________________________________________________ Tuesday, October 9 3:30-6 pm Adopt a Highway Wear old clothes and shoes and bring gloves. Meet in Art Room. Vests will be provided. Tuesday, October 16 3:30-6 pm Adopt a Highway RAINDATE OR COMPELETION DATE IF NEEDED Wear old clothes and shoes and bring gloves. Meet in Art Room. Vests will be provided. Tuesday, October 23 3:30-6 pm Halloween Bash Planning Meet in the art room and prepare materials for the Halloween Bash. ______________________________________________________________________________ Monday, October 29 3:30-8 pm Halloween Bash Bring a costume to wear! Prizes awarded! Supper will be provided. Set up is from 3:30-5:00; supper 5:00-5:30; Bash 6-7:30; all help with clean up from 7:30-8. ______________________________________________________________________________ Monday, November 5 3:30-6 pm Greeting Cards Selection We will select 12 greeting cards from designs submitted from each of the elementary centers, MS and HS. Sign-up for selling cards on Nov. 14 & 19 (elementary centers) and Dec. 5 (MS/HS). Wednesday, Nov. 14 & Monday, Nov. 19th 2-8 pm Sell Greeting Cards at Elementary Centers We will take orders for greeting cards at each of the 4 elementary centers. We need someone at each center that day for at least one 2 hour time period. ______________________________________________________________________________ Wednesday, December 5 2-8 pm Sell Greeting Cards at MS/HS We will take orders for greeting cards in the High School. We need someone at the high school for at least one 2 hour time period. Tuesday, December 18 3:30-6:30 Holiday party The Benton Art Club will hold their annual holiday party, including a potluck dinner, gift exchange, craft. ______________________________________________________________________________ Second Semester meeting dates will be announced at a later date.
