Hello! I am Rabbi Joseph Meszler. I am a parent and teacher at Kehillah Schechter Academy. I also am the rabbi of Temple Sinai of Sharon. I am thrilled to be able to contribute to the Schechter community.

For 6th grade Rabbinics, the first half of the year we will be studying Mishnah, the first layer of the Talmud. We will not only step foot into the world of the earliest rabbis and read some of their writings but will learn some of their life lessons as well.

The second half of the year will focus on identity and Jewish symbols. As students prepare to become Bar/Bat Mitzvah, we will learn the role of kippah, tallit, tefillin and other sacred disciplines in ourlives.
