Throw off your Shoes It's The PTA's Second-AnnualFamily Sock Hop Night! When: Friday, February 5th
Where: Hearst Auditorium Time: 6:00 pm -9:00 pm Cost: $2.00/person for PTA Members and Families $5.00 per person for non-PTA members and families The festivities will include lots of fun music, Hoola Hoops, and other games, a costume contest, a dance contest, and prizes! Refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase. GET YOUR RESERVATION FORM BACK IN ASAP -- SPACE IS LIMITED! Check your email for the registration form! Valentine's Day Celebration
Our class is going to have a small Valentine's Day celebration on Thursday, February 11th at 12:45 in our classroom. We're going to pass out Valentines, read them , read a book and eat a small treat. ALL are welcome to come! Hearst Yearbook Sales When: February 22nd through February 26th Where: Hearst Lunch Arbor Time: Before and After School Information will come home soon! Make checks available to Hearst Elementary School. City Council HERE WE COME!!!

Union Tribune's Kids Magic Mile Race March 6, 2010 at 8:00 am in Balboa Park All kids under 13 years old receive a book and a medal. All participants receive a shirt. Hearst Elementary is a team for this event. If you want to sign up, go to www.inmotionevents.com Select register and sign up under team. There you will find Hearst Elementary.
Hearst is planning on having a bus. We will meet at Hearst at 7:00 am This is a great way to avoid parking problems, plus we will all be together!
Register by February 17th @ 5:00pm Pasta for Pennies
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is holding it's 16th annual Pasta for Pennies program. To help participate, students are asked to bring in 100 coins that were unwanted. Maybe the coins that can be found in the seat cushions, the floor of the car ... or wherever you find coins! It can be any kind of coins you find! This is our way of helping those in need. Pasta for Pennies will end February 21st. Thanks from K-Kids and the Student Council. (NOTE: The letter home mentioned a competition ... there will be NO competition. This is all about giving money from the heart). The Heritage Project Information/directions were sent home on Tuesday, February 2nd. Extra copies can be found at the BOTTOM of this webpage as an attached file. Student presentations will be held the first week of March. With 24 students, I wanted to divide up the presentations over a 4 day period with six presentations a day. Parents are WELCOME and encouraged to come to their child's presentation. All presentations will be held from 8:00 am - 10:00 am. Below is a list of the dates for presentations. Thanks - and if you have ANY questions, please let me know.
