Authors Who Have Visited Green Meadow Coleen Paratore's Web Site Coleen Paratore visited Green Meadow in April, 2006. She is the author of the Wedding Planner's Daughter and How Prudence Proovit Proved the Truth About Fairy Tales. Liz Chipman's Web Site Liz Chipman visited us this past year. She is a Schodack resident. She wrote From the Lighthouse - about a family who lives in the Hudson - Athen's Lighthouse. Matt McElligott's Website Matt McElligott visited Green Meadow in 2005. His latest book is Blackbeard Under Siege. He wrote Absolutely Not. He is currently writing Bean Thirteen.  Bruce Hiscock's Website Bruce Hiscock has written and illustrated many books including The Big Tree and The Big Rock. Jackie Rogers Website Jackie Rogers has visited Green Meadow twice! You can see some of her work on our Author Quilt! Iza Trapani's Website Iza spent three days at our school and was our visiting artist for art, music and library. She is the author and illustrator of many books based on Nursery Rhymes including I'm a Little Teapot. Rose Kent's Website Rose is the author of Kimchi and Calamari. She visited our school in 2008. Daniel Mahoney's Website Daniel is the author of the Saturday Escape among othere. He came and drew illustrations for us to use as story starters in the classrooms. He visited our school in 2008. James Preller's Website James Preller is our author for 2009. He is the author of the Jigsaw Jones Series and tnd Six Innings among many others. Karen Beil's Website Karen Beil is a wonderful author of children's picture books, including Grandma According to Me which she spoke about to our PTO.  Nancy Castaldo's Website Nancy Castaldo visited our school in 2010. She spoke to us about saving our environment.  Grace Lin's Website Mrs. Leinung was lucky enough to be invited by Ally and Abby R. to meet this wonderful author and illustrator. She has just won a Newbery Honor Award for her book When the Mountain meets the Moon. Marc Brown's Website Arthur's Website Marc Brown is visiting our school October 22. We are so excited! Linda Sue Park Mrs. Leinung met her at the SLMS Conference last year where she was given The Knickerbocker Award for 2011.
