DPS 5k Trail Run for Adults and Teens

On October 10th, DPS is proud to announce the addition of a 5k Trail Run for adults! After 4 years of parents asking "why can't we run?!", we are ready to host a race for you big people!  It will be held at Columbia High School prior to the 5k Run for Kids.  Start time is 9:00am.  The fee will be $10.00 and all proceeds go to the DPS PTO to be used in purchasing school related materials.

We are very excited to host this event and hope that it will promote family wellness as now parents will have the opportunity to run on the same course, on the same day as their child!  In order to preserve the uniqueness of the 5k Run for Kids, we had to create a separate race.  So far, parents are pumped as they are excited to have their kids cheering for them as they finish.

We are also excited to welcome Fleet Feet Sports from Colonie as special guest presenters at 10:00.  They will be discussing sneakers; pertaining to fit, foot type, running stride, etc...  Many people seek their expertise and now they are bringing it to you!

Registration forms will be available on September 15th.  You will be able to print it out and then mail it in with a check.  Sorry, no Pay Pal. :(

p.s. It's not just for parents.  ANY adult/teen wishing to run is welcome.
