Unit 1  Numbers, Operations, and Data

Chapter 1  Addition Strategies We will be learning order and zero properties, counting on 1, 2, & 3, doubles and doubles plus one, making a ten and adding 3 numbers.  We also will be learning to draw a picture as a problem solving strategy.  Please click on the Chapter 1 rescources  to get a copy of the math vocabulary.

Chapter 1 Test - Friday, Sept. 25th

Chapter 2 Subtraction Strategies We will explore subtracting all or zero, counting back, thinking addition to subtract, fact families, and problem solving using logical reasoning.

Chapter 2 Test - Monday, Oct. 6th

Chapter 3 Addition & Subtraction Skills include memorizing facts, missing numbers, writing a number sentence for problem solving.

Chapter 3 Test - Monday, Oct. 19th

Chapter 4 Numbers to 100 We will be exploring tens and ones, understanding place value, reading and writing numbers, and making reasonable estimates for a problem solving skill.

Chapter 4 Test -

Patterns, Compare and Order Our skills will include ordinal numbers, comparing numbers >, <. or =, ordering numbers before, after, between, even and odd, and skip counting. We will use finding a pattern as a problem solving skill.

Chapter 5 Test - Tuesday  Nov. 10th

Chapter 6 Data and Graphing We will be

 using a picture graph and bar graph, taking a survey, interpreting data and using pictographs.

Chapter 6 Test - Retest Tuesday Nov. 24th

Unit Review We will spend some time reviewing all our skills  from Unit 1.
