Star Student

Each child will have an opportunity to be the STAR STUDENT of the day at some point during the school year.  We pick the names out of a hat and the children get very excited to see when it will be their turn.  The attached note will go home in your child's folder when their name is picked from the hat.  Please make sure that your child is prepared for their STAR STUDENT day by having the following things ready to share on their day.  We will also make a class book for each child after they are the STAR STUDENT.  Each child draws a picture for your child to then be placed in their book.  We will create a cover for the book and then they are sent to the high school to be laminated.  When the book is finished we share the book with the class before the STAR STUDENT gets to take their book home.

Star Student

Bring in your favorite “something” (a toy, a stuffed animal,  a trophy you won or something important to you) to share with the class.  Be prepared to tell the class why you chose to bring that item to school.

Choose your favorite picture book and bring it to school.  We will read your favorite book to the class.
