7th grade will be learning the clothes, shopping words and the verb llevar- to wear. The students will learn the numbers 100-1000 and demonstrative adjectives. The students will read a play about clothes shopping. The class will illustrate a person and label the clothes in Spanish. The 6th grade will be learning the verb gustar- to like and the activities. The class wil do the Ar, Er and IR verbs. They will learn the musical instruments and sport words. The students made Guatemalan friendship bracelets for a friend in the class. The 6th grade used the computer to look up their names in Mayan hieroglyphs. The students enlarged the glyphs and colored them with their name on it. The students saw worry dolls from Guatemala. The 5th grade will be learning the family members and making nouns plural. The students will learn the school words and the definite articles. Students will read and translate a Spanish play about school. The 4th grade will be learning the school words and un and una before a noun. The students will act out the converstions in Spanish and translate them. The students will learn the Ar verbs and the classroom expressions. The 8th grade will be learning the body parts, clothes and getting ready words. The students will read and translate a story about vampires. The class celebrated the Spanish custom of the Saint's Day by celebrating the Feast of St. Francis. The students answered questions in Spanish orally on the life of St. Francis. Infant clothing for the poor and a plate of Dutch and German biscuits was given to Father DuBois on his Saint's Day. A book on the life of St. Francis was donated to the St. Ambrose School library. The class enjoyed a treat of biscuits from Holland and Germany. The class made Guatemalan friendship bracelets for a friend in the class.
