Before 1985 - MS-DOS (C prompt was the key component)
1985 – Windows 1.0 (basic icons, tiled panels or windows and used a mouse)
1987 – Windows 2.0 (improved graphics, integrated keyboard shortcuts, overlapping windows)
1990 – Windows 3.0 (Intel 386 chip, better icons, added program, file, and print managers)
1995 – Windows 95 (access Internet through dial-up with networking, Plug & Play for installing
hardware and software)
1998 – Windows 98 (improved opening and closing applications, support reading DVDs and USB devices)
2000 – Windows ME Millennium (accessed multimedia with System Restore feature)
2001 – Windows XP Experience (merging of NT and Windows 2000)
2007 – Windows Vista (The verdict?)
