The Language Arts department at Riverside Jr.Sr. High School has recently implemented a summer reading book list for each grade. The Junior curriculum consists of American literature, therefore, my books for the summer reading list are all classics in American literature. Students will choose two books from the list and read them over the summer. They will be tested on both books when they return to school in September. Each test will be an objective test which consists of 50 questions - true and false questions, multiple choice questions, and matching the characters. Each test will count as one test grade for the first quarter. I included a short description of each book on the list so each student may make individual choices for his reading. Have a great summer and enjoy these great classics!
