The sixth grade science class felt that since Pluto was demoted from a planet to a sub-planet, a "wake" was in order. (No funeral was necessary, but there were calling hours). The class researched the new definition of a planet, and found out why Pluto did not fit into this category. The students planned a send off befitting this celestial body's stature. The sudent's wrote obituaries and eulogies including scientific facts about this ex-planet. Flowers and appropriate music enhanced the affair. All attending were teary eyed, but hopeful that the Astronomers Union will see the error of their ways and reinstate Pluto as a planet once more. .
