Classroom Management

In order for our students to be the most successful learners that they can, our classroom management is based on the following rules:

1.  Pay attention.

2.  Get along with others.

3.  Talk only when it is my turn and use my inside voice.

4.  Do my work carefully, neatly, and on time.

5.  Keep my hands, feet, and other objects to myslef.

6.  Respect and obey the teacher and other school adults.

7.  Use nice words.

8.  Behave in the restroom and halls.

9.  Tell the truth.

10.  Walk inside the building.

At the beginning of every month, each student is given a calendar with a sticker on every school day.  If the children choose to break a rule (several warning are given), the teacher or aide will pull the sticker and write the number of the rule that was broken on the calendar where the sticker was removed.

Students losing stickers will sit at a tree for 10 minutes, walk the fence, or run to the fence. 

For ongoing discipline issues, the parents are contacted and/or the student will go to the office.
