"Seek to Serve"

Vision:  We will make a difference in the world by walking in the footprints of John Paul II.

Mission:  To develop leaders who are critical thinkers and effective communicators, committed to service and rooted in faith

Welcome to Jane Borland's (Ms. B's) Website.

I am SO EXCITED to be part of the John Paul II family and am looking forward to sharing my expertise in the sciences with my outstanding students.  We are going to have a great year together.  Please know that my door is always open to help my students and to visit with parents.

My classroom is Rom # 2407 in the senior hall.  I am available for tutorials every morning from 8:00 to 8:30.  I am also available after school almost every day, but check with me to make sure I do not have a meeting on the afternoon you are planning to come.  I have duty every Tuesday afternoon from 4:00 to 4:30 out front by the main desk, so if you need me on Tuesday afternoons, that is where I will be.

Here's my e-mail address:  janeborland@johnpauliihs.org, and my conference period is from 10:40 to 12:05 each day if you want to call me.  If I do not answer, leave a message with your name and phone number and I will call you back as soon as I can.  The school's phone number is 972-867-0005.

I will be teaching A.P. Environmental Science (APES), 9th Grade Environmental Systems, and Chemistry this year.  For specific course information, please click on the “My Classes” button and then on your course.  There you will find a list of daily assignments and links to course materials.

For more information about me, click on "About Ms. Borland" where you will find some general information and my resume.

Class Rules are as follows:

1.     Pride and integrity are the two most important personal qualities I expect you to demonstrate in this classroom.

2.     Kindness is freely practiced in this classroom.  Each individual in this classroom is a person of enormous value and will be treated with the respect he/she deserves.  I expect you to be kind, respectful, cooperative, polite and on task at all times.

3.    You do not have the right to disrupt the learning process that is occurring in this classroom.

4.    I expect you to put forth your best effort each and every day.

5.    I expect you to tell me when you do not understand and need extra help.
