8:25- Attendance, Lunch count, flag salute.
8:30- Math Time Test using CPS Lesson 8-6 using PowerPoint lesson and questions in CPS. Problem Solving Choosing the Best Strategy. Make sure students are choosing a strategy and not just an operation! They still are having trouble telling the difference. Use the Mobi and Interwrite to do the Real World Examples with the students before showing the way the PowerPoint lesson solves the problem. Students will use their clickers (possibly) during the lesson. Do Skills worksheet 8-6. You can choose to have the students work independently on the worksheet or you can put the Student Work disk in the computer, bring up that work sheet, and do it together on the on the board. Homework tonight is HomeWork 8-5. You can give this to the students anytime and have them put it in their backpacks.

12:15- Science Lesson is on Making a Leg Model. Investigation starts on P. 8. I couldn't find the leg/foot poster anywhere and I don't have one. Maybe you could find a good picture on the internet. Use one of the little Leg Muscle pictures under the doc. camera and make it bigger instead of a transparency. You may want to practice making a leg model before science time on P. 9. Prepare the materials as directed on P. 10. Go through the Guided Investigation on p. 11 and 12. If time, students can make their model. If not we will do it on Friday. I will also distribute their vocabulary on Friday. Good Luck.
1:00- History Students need to finish their history questions for The White Man's Point of View on Who Caused the Whitman Massacre. They need to have their questions written into a paragraph. If Mrs. Saetre comes in, she can work with both Meilien and Yesenia at the back table. If students finish, which some are, they can get their netbooks, go onto my Home Page, go to Digital Kit for Whitman massacre, read some of the articles, watch videos, etc. They need to write down the source and any new information they find about the White Man's View Point.
