Classroom Economy

What is a Classroom Economy? A classroom system used to promote and encourage student success and responsibility. while learning aspects of how our economy fuctions. When will the Classroom Economy start and end? It will be introduced and start the first day of school and continue until the end of the year. What are Decision Dollars? Decision Dollars are equal to money with the monetary values of $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100. Students will earn Decisions Dollars by completing students jobs, showing responsibility, having a positive attitude, and so forth. How are Decision Dollars used? At the end of every marking period students can use their Decision Dollars to "buy" things. Examples of what students can purchase are lunch with the teacher, homework and computer passes, books, candy, and other prizes. Can Decision Dollars be taken away? Yes! When students make bad decisions they will owe me some of their Decision Dollars. The worse the decision, they more they will owe. However, students can always earn the Decision Dollars back by making good decisions.
