February Newsletter 2012
Assalamu -Alikum Dear parents,
We would like to thank Sam and Adam’s father, Doctor Hadi, for coming and teaching the children how to take care of their teeth, and talking about the bad and the good foods for teeth.
We also want to thank Ahmad’s mother and Aisha’s mother for coming and helping us make pancakes with the children.
Inshallah for the first two weeks of February our theme will be “Dinosaurs”. To help the children learn about Dinosaurs we well be reading books and making art projects such as Dino crowns, cutting and coloring Dinosaurs. We will also watch the movie “Digging for Dinosaurs” and we will learn the different names of Dinosaurs.
In the last two weeks of February our theme will be “Nutrition”. The children will learn about the food pyramid. We will be making fruit salad and fruit juice with the children.
In math we will be learning patterns and counting in tens.
In Arabic we will work on the letters (sha, daa, saa, ha)
In English we will work in the letters (L, M, N, O)
In Islamic studies we will be reciting Surat Qurish and we will be talking about Prophet Noah.
