Cheerleaders Perform Well at NCA Camp in Natchitoches The Varsity and JV Cheerleaders attended NCA camp June 1-4. The Varsity Cheerleaders won the Top Team trophy for their performance cheer. They also received the Spirit Stick and a bid to compete at NCA Senior and Junior High Nationals. Amy Cole was selected as Top All-American among all cheerleaders at camp. Eleven Varsity cheerleaders and one JV cheerleader was nominated to try out for All-American by the NCA staff. JV won the Game Day Top Team trophy. Anna Ward, the 2008-2009 mascot, won the Mascot Leadership Award and the Most Improved Mascot trophy. She was named to the All-American Mascot Team. Both Anna and Amy Cole have the opportunity to perform in Hawaii or Florida after being named All-Americans. Rusty the Bearcat will be introduced at Bearcat Madness in August and teach the crowd his "Eat' em up Cats!" chant. 2008-2009 JV 2008-2009 Varsity
