Rationing During War: It Worked in WWII, Would It

1. Study the websites below about rationing during WWII:

2. Jot down some of the items commonly rationed. Make notes about how  rationing was carried out and what the general reaction of Americans was.

3. In your response, compare the rationing in WWII to how we have been affected by the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. How would Americans today react to a government rationing program? Choose 3 of the items you read about that were rationed during WWII and explain whether or not you think they would be easier or more difficult to ration today.
