Attendance Flag Program

The purpose of this program is to encourage your students to be at school. Each grade level will have the opportunity to earn the attendance flag. At the end of the week, an attendance summary of ALL classrooms will be printed. From this, the top 3 classes- in each grade level (with the highest attendance of students IN school) will receive a flag. This flag will be put on display in the hallway at the beginning of the week and stay until the following week.

Hawks’ Nest Cafeteria Incentive Program

Classes will be rewarded for demonstrating excellent behavior in the cafeteria.   Behavior expectations specific to the cafeteria are referenced in the Behavior Matrix. The overall behavior of the class will be monitored using a three-cup system.  Each cafeteria table will have a green, yellow, and red cup.  Classes demonstrating appropriate behavior will have the green cup displayed.  Classes that received a reminder of behavior expectations will have a yellow cup displayed.  Classes that are given multiple reminders of the behavior expectations will have a red cup displayed. At the conclusion of each lunch period, classes with Green cups will be allowed to move their class hawk up one position of the Hawk’s Nest.  Once a class reaches 20, the class will be treated to fine dining at their next lunch period.  That class will be greeted with a mini celebration of table coverings and a special treat (ex. Dessert, ice cream).

Golden Awards

Golden Plunger Award- The Golden Plunger will be awarded weekly (by the custodians) to the cleanest classroom in each hallway.

Golden Spatula Award- The Golden Spatula will be awarded weekly (by the cafeteria staff) to the most polite class. One spatula per grade level will be awarded on each side of the cafeteria.
