Hello Room 2 Parents!

Happy Fall! I would just like to say that I am really enjoying your children. They are so much fun to work with. Their smiles and giggles are priceless!

I enjoyed meeting with each of you during conference week. I am already seeing lots of social and academic growth with all of the children. In mid-November, you will receive your child's first report card.

As you know, Mrs. Young has extended her leave till the end of December. I will be here till winter break.

We are beginning to meet our Alphafriends who help us learn the sounds that the letters make.  The kindergarten newsletter each week will tell the new Alphafriend.  We will spend a week on each sound and will go in a random order not alphabetical order as we did with the printing of the letters.  The children seem to love the Alphafriends and their songs.

Red Ribbon Week is coming up soon.  Rather than focusing on drugs and alcohol, we talk about ways to take good care of our bodies such as eating healthy foods, exercising, sleeping enough, etc.
