It was wonderful to meet with all of you at Parent/Teacher conferences.  I am already seeing so much progress each day.  You will receive your child's Progress Report (report card) in mid-November.

We are beginning to meet our Alphafriends who help us learn the sounds that the letters make.  The kindergarten newsletter each week will tell the new Alphafriend.  We will spend a week on each sound and will go in a random order not alphabetical order as we did with the printing of the letters.  The children seem to love the Alphafriends and their songs.

Red Ribbon Week is coming up soon.  Rather than focusing on drugs and alcohol, we talk about ways to take good care of our bodies such as eating healthy foods, exercising, sleeping enough, etc.
