Welcome to Mr. Thames' classroom website and the home of Casting Voices oral history archive! Casting Voices is an initiative to build community and foster leadership through oral history. Over twenty Gulfport High School students are building an audio archive of their peers’ experiences and reflections. For their first project, Casting Voices is building an archive of Hurricane Katrina histories as told through the viewpoints of teenagers. The students have three goals as they go through each stage of collecting and publishing their fellow students’ histories.
