Meet Mrs. DiOrio

     Hi!  My name is Mrs. DiOrio.  This is my eighth year teaching at D.P.S., and my seventh year teaching first grade.  Before that, I spent a year substituting in Kindergarten through fifth grade, remediation and special education in all five district elementary schools.     

      I went to the College of Saint Rose for both my undergraduate and graduate work, where I received a BS in Elementary Education and my Masters degree in Literacy.  

     In my "free" time I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, playing with my dogs Maddie and Kira, making small renovations to my home, and, thanks to Mrs. Deer, running! 

    I got married on October 25th, 2008 to my wonderful husband Max.  We are expecting our first child in January of 2009.  We are due January 1st, New Year's Day!

     I am very happy and, I feel, very lucky to work at D.P.S.  I love the feeling of family and community at our school, and I think the the combination of our faculty and staff and the level of family involvement make for some very lucky children as well!  D.P.S. is a great place to work and learn!
