I am extremely excited to begin the new school year!  I am a forth year biology teacher and very eager to get the school year going.  My summer has been full of planning and organizing my classroom.  I have many exciting activities planned for the class. 

My mission for the class is to:

• Establish a cooperative learning environment in which students can learn while building social skills.
• Encourage students to set goals to influence motivation and success.
• Provide feedback to the students during and/or after a lesson, assignment, project, lab activity, and quizzes/test.
• Build and maintain a positive relationship between the students and myself.
• Provide quality instruction for each student in an exciting, stimulating, and caring environment.

My classroom expectations are:

• I want each student to feel that they have control of their own learning experiences.
• I want to use and maintain a flexible curriculum that is exciting, creative, organized, and motivates students to learn.
• I want to promote hands-on learning into as many lessons as possible.
• I want to have a positive learning environment that fosters discussion, questions, and new ideas.
• I will come to class on time each day, ready to learn with the students.
