Things that can help:

First, you need to make sure that you complete all assigned homework assignments each quarter. I usually assign about 10 nights of homework each quarter (which is 45 school days). I do not grade based on if your answers are correct. I grade based on whether or not you reasonably tried each problem I assigned. I do give partial credit for homework, however, I do not recommend only completing half of any assignment. To achieve the highest possible grade you must complete all problems in every assignment given. You are required to make up homework assignments if you are absent. It is the student's responsibility to show me missed assignments due to absense. Second, I am here almost every day during 10th period to help when you do not understand something I did in class. Do not wait until the problem gets too big. Once you take a test or quiz, there are no re-takes. So, make sure you know the material before the test or quiz date. Third, use Compass Odyssey to help when you need it. It will teach most of the lessons I do in class. This is a good tutorial program. If you have internet access at home, this is a great tool to use as a study aid. Fourth, use your agenda to record test and quiz dates, and homework assignments. The more organized you are, the easier it will be to study. "My Calender" will also list test and quiz dates, and homework assignments in case you don't have your agenda at home.
