Mission Statement

Benton Community School counselors work with all students, school staff, families, and members of the community as an integral part of the educational program. Benton School counseling programs promote success through a focus on academic acheivement, social/emotional growth and career development.

As Elementary counselors, we offer a comprehensive PreK-6 program which provides preventative and developmental guidance services for all students.

The program is generally proactive, stressing academic skills, positive choices, self-esteem, bullying, career development, and social skills. This is done through classroom guidance lessons, consultation, small group and individual sessions.
