Here are some of the activities or events that the PTO either sponsors directly or provides help for:

Attention: For most of the PTO events/activities listed below, a volunteer is needed to serve as "chair."  The chair plans and coordinates the event and arranges for any materials and volunteers that are needed. While some of the activities take more time than others, none are difficult.


Open Houses
Parents visit the school to meet teachers and find out about their plans for the year. Open house for Grade 6 is September 16th and for Grades 7-8 is October 1st at 7pm.)
Volunteers are needed to arrange and serve refreshments.


School Pictures - TBA
Smile! 
Volunteers are needed during the school day to collect payment for pictures and direct students to photo area.


Halloween Happening - Oct 23 6-8:30pm
This is an annual Halloween blowout event coordinated by the school. The teaching teams solicit the volunteers they need, but the PTO offers additional help when requested. At the event we also usually sell novelty items or treats.
Volunteers are needed to work the PTO table and provide extra help to the teams.


Mix-It-Up Day - Nov - TBA
This is an annual lunchtime program coordinated by the school to promote tolerance and acceptance of others. The PTO provides treats and decorations and coordinates volunteers to help. 
Volunteers are needed to deliver refreshments and decorations, help set up for the lunch and participate in the lunchtime activities planned for the students.


Winterfest Cake Walk
This popular event takes place during the Winterfest activities held at Goff. Players buy a chance to win a yummy cake or treat. Students provide the cakes as contest entries for prizes.
Volunteers are needed  to coordinate the student contest for cake entries, secure prizes and other materials,  set up for the activity, work during the event, and clean up after.


Staff/Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
The PTO sponsors this annual luncheon in honor of our wonderful teachers and staff how much we appreciate all that they do for our kids.
Volunteers are needed  to arrange the catering and decorations, invite the guests, set up before, work during and clean up after.


High Honors Dinner - June 11
The PTO funds dinners for eighth grade students being recognized at this annual school dinner.
Volunteers are needed  to set up tables and decoration prior and collect tickets from guests.


Elevation Celebration - June 24
The PTO provides refreshments and volunteers for the reception after the 8th Grade Elevation Celebration.
Volunteers are needed to arrange refreshments, set up prior, serve during, and clean up afterwards.
