The calendar shows the dates assignments are due, not the date they were assigned.

Webassigns are typically assigned several days in advance and close at midnight on the day indicated on the calendar. You will be assessed a sliding late penalty on assignments that are not turned in on time unless you have been granted an extension in advance. No work that is more than 5 days late will be accepted. Each marking period you will be given two "late passes" which can be attached to two regular assignments to avoid late penalties. They may also be used for an automatic 1-day extension on projects.
