In May we are concentrating on reading words with the oo, ou, and ow sounds. We will also read words that end with ed or ing. We will continue to distinguish between long vowel words and read two syllable long and short vowel words. We will also enjoy reading Aesop's Fables and make a booklet of famous sayings we've learned throughout the year. In Math we will concentrate on measurement, weight, and capacity, then finish up the year by adding and subtracting two digit numbers. In religion we will discuss the gift of Mary our Holy Mother and say goodbye to our seventh grade prayer partners. Our unit theme of study will be Mexico.
