Welcome to my website!! I am looking forward to a successful school year with this year's 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students! I will be teaching Reading 6, English 7 and English 8, and Religion 8.
English 8 students are working on their summer reading diorama book reports and are studying an adverb unit. English 7 students are completing their written book reports for their summer reading and will begin a Spelling/Vocabulary unit. Both English classes have finished a short poetry unit on Mattie Stepanek poems reinforced with journal writings.
The 6th graders also enjoyed the unit on Mattie Stepanek and are taking a reading test to determine their reading ability. We will read "Rip Van Winkle" by Washington Irving and then begin the novel, Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls.
