The Franklin PTC is a group of volunteers who work together to make Franklin a great school for our children. We'd like to recognize those volunteers who have generously given their time this year to make PTC events and activities a success. Thank you to Stacey Allen and Deanna Paynter for leading another great night to celebrate reading for our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade student who earned the chance to spend the night at Franklin. March Staff Luncheon. Thank you to our 4th grade families for putting on a great lunch of chili dogs and salads for the Franklin staff on the first minimum day! Thank you to our 5th grade families for providing a yummy potato bar feast for the staff on the second minimum day in March! PTC Room Clean Up. Thanks to Jennifer Dennis, Christine Kesterson and Ellen Laak-Kelley for helping organize the PTC room last week. We are starting to make some great progress in organizing our supplies! Family Reading Night. Thank you to Ann Baker and Amy Toth for putting on another great Family Reading Night for our Franklin families to enjoy. A big thank you to our 7th and 8th grade students who did a fantastic job with their mystery books and throughly entertained both kids & parents! A special thank you to Grandma Connie Degan for making those amazing theme cakes and spending time with all the kids. Thank you to everyone who helped out that night passing out books and serving out cake & milk. What a great night to celebrate reading! Reading Counts Store (2/16). Thank you to Cindy Matthew for leading our Reading Counts Store program this year, along with her team; Amy Toth, Ana Azarkeyan, Krissy Kenoyer, Laurie Henry and Racine Shaw. Our first store was a big hit with our 2nd-6th grade students and we want to say thanks to our parent and student volunteers who helped at the store including Wendy Morris, Rebecca Feickert, Sherri Meyers and Christine Kesterson. Talent Show. Thank you to our co-leads, Sara Andrews & Kate Mitchell, for putting on a great talent show this year. Without your willingness to take a chance and lead this event, we wouldn't have had a chance to see the many great talents of our Franklin students. A special thanks to the parent volunteers who helped our leads pull off a great event: Racine Shaw, Barbara Voss, Tanya Matson, Kim Petrini, Cindy Matthews, Jacque Leon, Cindy Marvin and Judy Bailey. Thank you to our 3rd grade families & Room Parents for putting together a delicious salad & soup lunch for our staff in January. The staff was raving about the food and the yummy desserts. Spirit Wear - Thank you to Keely Stahlberg for bringing in a new line of spirit wear at Franklin! The new t-shirts, hoodies & sweatshirts look great! We appreciate all your time picking out new styles and getting them to our Franklin families. December Staff Luncheon. Thanks for our 2nd grade Room Parents & families for coordinating the staff luncheon in December. They had a wonderful breakfast on the last day of school before break. Trojan Trackers - Our coaches, Michele Gray and Lisa Kinsman, did a great job leading the Trojan Trackers this Fall. They had more students participate than ever before and helped Franklin to win the first ever Manda Cup! We really appreciate all you've done to encourage students to get out and run! They were fortunate to have so many parent volunteers help with counting laps, running and providing snacks. This shows that it takes a community to make great things happen! Thanks to everyone who help this season. PTC Directories - Thank you to the Mortensen Family for generously donating the printing of this year's PTC directory. It was a big savings to our PTC budget! November Staff Luncheon. Thanks to our 8th grade families for putting on a picnic style lunch for our staff in November. It was great for teachers to get a nice grab-n-go lunch before parent/teacher conferences! Fall Festival - It was a fun afternoon at the Fall Festival on Saturday. This is an event that takes the efforts of many to make it possible; so THANK YOU to everyone who brought an goodie for the cake walk and the parents & students who worked the game booths. Thanks to Wise Buys, Rickey Ranch, Yotopia Yogurt & Peet's Coffee for their generous donations. Library Renovation Crew - The PTC has funded major changes in the library including new carpet & paint. This would not have happened without an amazing crew of volunteers to get the work done! October Staff Luncheon - Thank you to our First Grade Families for hosting an Italian luncheon for our wonder staff this month! They really enjoy it! Special thanks to our Room Parents in 1st grade for organizing! Starstruck Dance Shows - Our children did an amazing job last Tuesday & Thursday evening! Thank you to Parents for getting all the kids to school on time for their performances. A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Willis for organizing and bringing this wonderful program to our school. September Staff Luncheon - Thank you to our Kindergarten families who hosted the first staff luncheon of the year. The staff loved all the great "Salads & Sweets" you so generously brought for them. Franklin Work Day - Thank you to everyone who came out on Sunday (9/18) with your rakes, wheelbarrows, gloves and dedication to improving the look of the Franklin campus! The areas in front of the cafeteria, parking lot, walkway onto campus and path from lower parking lot all look great! Back to School Coffee - Thanks to Jessica Graves for getting Starbuck's coffee donated for the Welcome Back Coffee Social.
