To Sam, Matt, Doug, Lou OK, Sam...what the heck is "idk". Matt...does that mean you swear? Doug...what is T9. and Lou, yours was hilarious "respectable older citizens". Thanks for the LOL which is the only text abbreviation I know. Oh and "ttyl".

Reply to Sara and Bobby Sara, I do agree that we are less adept at communicating with depth because we rely so heavily on the abbreviated typed word rather than voice to voice. People have become less articulate. Compare the eloquence of historical news reels to our speech today. We are sorely lacking. That's why we're all going to PARTICIPATE in English class. Right :) Bobby, I'm fascinated that you know ASL, and I do agree that it is a language in its own right. It's such a beautiful kinesthetic experience, like dancing with words.
