Hi everyone- just wanted to give a little personal information about me. I graduated from GCHS in 1990 and was a proud member of the Marching Pioneers- my dad, Tony Burriss was the band director then. I completed my bachelors degree at UT Martin in 1994 and began my teaching career in Adamsville. My husband, Matt Brown, and I married in 1996 and I relocated to the Gibson County School District. Together we have three children- Kizer age 10, Katibeth age 9, and Kannon age 5. They definitely fill my days with busyness and lots of joy!!! We are members of Medina First United Methodist Church, and in my free time I enjoy scrapbooking and playing softball.
I am very proud of the awards and accomplishments the band has received and earned over the past 15 years. Currently we have a total of 142 students in our program!!! We are growing just like our community!! It takes many people- students, directors, and parents to run an award winning program of this size- I encourage everyone to become involved and supportive of our BAND! Let's keep this tradition going!!!
