Mrs. Kocurek's Vacation Adventures!

This summer I go to do one of my favorite things:  TRAVEL!  I wanted to share my experiences with you and offer you a challenge!

Second - Pick a site and learn about the area.  Read my notes about my vacation and look at some pictures.  You can find the notes and pictures on the left hand side of the main web page - underneath the page titled Welcome to Hillsboro Elementary.

Third - My challenge to you is pick a place that I visited and learn about it.  Then, you can show me what you learned by developing a poster board, power point, research paper, book, collage, etc.  BE CREATIVE!  This can be a fun project - it doesn't have to be boring!

One of the things that I am going to do as a result of my vacation is learn more about the living conditions of the Native Americans that still live on Indian Reservations.  Read my notes to find out why I am so interested in this.  If you are interested as well, you can choose to do a project to help them.  You may want to write a letter to members of the government - those that can do something about it.  You may want to make blankets/quilts to send.  You may want to collect money to send.  Whatever it is, as long as you are helping, you should be proud!

Fourth - Turn your project into me by Labor Day to recieve a prize!  Be prepared to talk to me about what you learned!
