Picture Retakes - Due to inclement weather, we will have to reschedule the picture retake day to January 13th. For those of us (myself included) that need retakes for our children, this has been a long, patient process.  Please know, our staff has been diligent in trying to get the photographers here in a timely manner.   I apologize for any inconvenience - Jackie Kocurek

 

Magazine Fundraiser - Starting January 21st, the Elementary will host its 2nd, and final, fundraiser for the year.  The students will be selling magazine subscriptions.  There are some great prizes that the students can earn!  More information will be coming home soon.

 

Art and Science Fair - January 29th we will be hosting our annual Art and Science Fair.  Your child's teacher will be sending home information about the science project.  Please read the rules carefully - we follow the same rules as the Mastodon Art and Science Fair.  We hope that your child will want to enter their science project into this community fair! 

 

During the Art and Science fair, we will be hosting a spaghetti dinner as well.  The teachers will also be at school ready with some science activities of their own!  This is a great night to spend with your family!  We will be sending home more information soon.

 

 

Mock Election - Thanks to Mrs. Venosdale and the 4th grade GATE students for organizing a school wide mock election.  Students in Mrs. Venosdale's class created polling booths, created radio ads communicating how important it is to vote, and established several election web sites for the students to learn from.  Every student filled out a voter registration card and came in to vote.  By participating in this, the students recognized and experienced how wonderful our democratic society is and how important it is that citizens utilize their right to vote!  Check out the video about our mock election!  Just click on the link at the bottom of this page!
