Meet Mrs. Vasquez |
Hello, my name is Mrs. Elizabeth J. Vasquez and I am the teacher of the Life Skills Support Class here at Peters Elementary. I live in the outskirts of Walnutport with my husband Willy. We have two children, Jarrett who is twenty-eight and Jevon who is twenty-three.
I am a graduate of Northampton High School and hold a duel teaching degree from Kutztown University and a Masters degree. My Special Education teaching experience began back in 1978 with Intermediate Unit 21. I taught thirteen years in a kindergarten-6th grade Learning Support classroom, had two years of team teaching with first and second grade teachers, and one year teaching in a Primary Life Skills Support class. I then came to Northern Lehigh School District. I am presently in my nineteenth year teaching the Primary Life Skills Support class at Peters Elementary.
My favorite color is red. My favorite food is ice cream (Butter Pecan). My favorite animal is a toss up between any type of dog and baby piglets. My hobbies are traveling to places I haven't been to before and shopping. I like listening to any type of music. I enjoy cooking new recipes I find, reading a good book, and bringing laughter and smiles to people I encounter. I love going on vacation, especially to the beach or any tropical island. But most of all, I really love teaching and making a difference in the lives of the children who touch my life!
