Classroom Rules |
Follow The Four!
1. Be still, straight, and silent when in line
2. Treat others with respect.
3. Keep your body and objects to yourself.
4. Follow adult directions the 1st time given.
*These school rules are school wide and are the same in our lunch room and within all special subject classes.
Classroom Rules!
(1, 2, 3 Magic)
This technique is similiar to " three strikes you're out". As a class we have developed classroom rules everyone has agreed to follow along with our "Follow the Four" rules. If a rule is broken, the student receives 1 warning that they have broken the rule. If they break the rule a second time, the student is given a 2nd warning . If the rule is broken a 3rd time, the student serves one of several consequences. The consequences they serve are losing one of the classroom privileges for the first three warnings. When the student returns to the group or activity, they need to apologize to the class for their behavior. The second time the student receives 3 warnings, the consequence is time out in the thinking chair. Here they can spend anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes thinking about what they have done. When their time is up, the student needs to apologize to the class and return to the activity in progress. If there is a thirrd time of three strikes, a call home to parent will take place.
