Here are some links to great games and websites I think you will enjoy! Place the State This one is my favorite! It's a real challenge to figure out exactly where each state goes. This will help fifth graders get ready for those state and capital quizzes later in the year. Just click on the link below to play. P.S. - My high score is 2 miles and 244 seconds. Can you beat it? Place the State President Hangman Here is a game the fifth graders will be playing during center time. I thought you might enjoy playing at home. Have fun! Quia - President Hangman Flag Tag The sixth graders play this during their first center rotation. How well can you match up the countries to their flags? Flag Tag Cave Art Here are two of the sites we will explore in class. They look really cool on our Smartboard!! Lascaux Chauvet States and Capitals The fifth graders will start their state and capital quizzes int the spring, but it's never too soon to start preparing. These websites are a great way to help them study. Have fun!! USA Geography - lots of games! "Superman" state locations http://www.kidsgeo.com/geography-games/usa-capitals-map-game.php State Government Here is a great site that lists important information about each state. The state name itself is also a link to that state's official website. Have fun exploring! Crest Capital The First Thanksgiving Here are some sites we will explore a little in class. I thought that maybe the fifth graders would like to explore a little more on their own. Even parents may learn a little something! Enjoy! Investigating the First Thanksgiving Pilgrims - Mayflower Voyage, Daily life, and the First Thanksgiving World Geography Attention all Passport club lovers!
