Sixth Grade Social Studies:

We have moved on to Rome.  This will be our last unit focusing on the ancient world.  We will spend a good bit of time discussing the Roman Empire and early Christianity.

Fifth Grade Social Studies:

The third quarter will be all about Latin America.  This may be a more challenging unit for some students because most fifth graders have very little background knowledge.  We will begin wiht the geography and history of the region.  There will be a lot of people and events to know.  Then we will move on to country studies.  We will focus on some of the more unique countries of Latin America and discuss their culture.

Sixth Grade Religion:

We are spending quite a bit of time talkng about Moses.  Right now, our focus is on Passover.  Second quarter prayer service were very well done.  I saw so much growth in my sixth graders.  Well done!  They will receive new groups for the third quarter.  We will begin after midterms.
