About Ms. Rewey

Erica J. Rewey

I graduated from Colorado College in 1999 with a Major in English and a minor in Education. I'm currently enrolled in CC's MAT program and am focusing on Southwest Studies. I've been married for eleven years; we have two sons (one who's 4 1/2 years old, and one who's two months old). In my "spare" time, I enjoy reading, hiking, camping, photography and astronomy.

In my twelfth year of teaching, and my eighth year at Palmer High School, I find myself continuously challenged to learn new, innovative and better ways of teaching. I'm actively engaged in efforts to reform and reinvent education at Palmer High School to better prepare students for our 21st century world; our aim is to raise the level of rigor and relevance at Palmer High School and aid teachers working in teams to deliver the best 21st century education to our students.

As well as teaching tenth grade English and eleventh grade IB English, I am the English Department Chair and the IB/MYP CAS/Community Service Coordinator. I also sponsor the Quidditch and ECO Clubs and Paint the Schools. I look forward to continuing to develop positive relationships with students and Palmer High School, and to continuing to learn better ways to put my students at the center of their learning experiences.
