FALCON COVE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT

SPORTS OFFERED AT FALCON COVE MIDDLE SCHOOL 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR ARE (IN ORDER BY SEASON): TEAMS ARE FOR BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS

1.                  SOCCER (FALL-AUGUST)

2.                  BASKETBALL (FALL/WINTER - OCTOBER/NOVEMBER)

3.                  TRACK (SPRING - FEBRUARY)

The Athletic Department here at Falcon Cove is prolific, achieving much success since it opened in 2000.  In eleven years, we have won a total of 40 Division Championship Titles and 20 County Championship Titles (9 County Championships in Boy’s Soccer, 3 in Girl’s Soccer, 1 Boy’s Softball, 3 County Championships in Boy’s Volleyball, and 4 County Championships in Girl’s Volleyball).  These achievements are remarkable when you consider there are 40 middle schools in our County and the short amount of time our school has been open.  The Athletic Programs here at Falcon Cove Middle School are open and offered to all students who would like to participate. 

Our Intramural Programs are before or after school athletic events that are open to every student in any grade.  Intramural programs are held, before each sport begins.  For example, before the basketball season begins, basketball intramurals will be held.  These intramural programs are also used as try-outs for each sport.  Each student that is chosen to be a member of any team must maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher and can not have two or more U’s (unsatisfactory) in behavior, during the report card periods of the particular season they are participating in. 

We are very proud of our Athletic Program and the outstanding coaches that help make our program such a success.
