National History Day (NHD)
This is the home for National History Day information, activites and resources.
Research Central from Nat. History Day webpage
Here is the place to start for research links (especially primary sources). Scroll down to the table. It contains four sections: Research methods and materials, Primary Sources, General resources, and State resources.
Proquest (Topic browsing in eLibrary)
Follow carefully to get to reliable resources and PRIMARY sources. Login (use the password information given to you in class or contact someone in the library). Click on "My products" to get into the databases. Select "eLibrary". Then "Topics" on the top toolbar. Scroll down to "U.S. History" and select "History by Period". Here are many links that can be helpful with topic selection.
Library of Congress American Memory (Primary Sources)
Great souce for PRIMARY SOURCES! Contains documents, photographs, maps, films and audio recordings from U.S. History.
Google Directory
This is different than a Google search. Notice that it is "Google Directory". Enter search term for PRIMARY documents. Example: "Eleanor Roosevelt papers" to find documents written during her life time.
Proquest High School edition
Use the login and password on the hand out to get to the "History Study Center" and "SIRS Decades". These will have PRIMARY Sources plus lots more.
