Here I am! Send Me:

From what we're hearing, many are responding to the call to serve others around the world. Will you take a moment and tell us your story? You just might inspire another to do the same.

Send your missionary stories to:  ECA Alumni Give Back and we'll let others see how ECA Alumni are world changers--one person at at time.

If I had Only Known:  We also want to tell you about  important and sometimes urgent things that are happening within the ECA family here in Colorado Springs, CO. Some of these stories may ask you to Give Back to people and places you once knew.

Mr. Brent Holtcamp has been teaching at ECA for over 25 years, making a difference in hundreds of students' lives as well as the Colorado Springs community. During the spring of 2006, Brent became ill and was diagnosed with cancer. On May 21, 2007 Brent entered University Hospital in Denver to begin a procedure for a stem cell transplant.

In order for Mr. Holtcamp to continue his extensive cancer treatment, the $5,000 insurance deductible was needed by January 2008. Our Secondary students were challenged to consider the indescribably rich grace of God and creatively find ways they could "pay it forward" in the Holtcamps' lives, such as foregoing  their coffee shop trips and donating their coffee money then using the time to pray for the Holtcamps; having bake sales; sponsoring a lunch in February; creating and selling Christmas cards, and competing in the First Annual Holtcamp U.S. Quarters-Tape World Championships which was held Friday, December 7. The 7th grade class created the longest length of tape to which quarters were stuck. Over $3,000 was raised in quarters alone! All monies will be given to the Holtcamp Fund at the Leonard ECA Foundation.

The Leonard ECA Foundation has set up a special fund for Brent and his wife, Louise. It is truly a blessing to have help with funds during a medical situation such as this (as well as other faculty urgent needs.) Brent is trusting God and watching Him work in many amazing ways. Won't you consider being a part of what God has planned for this outcome?  A generous outpouring from the ECA Alumni would encourage Brent beyond his wildest imagination (and you know he has one!)
