Postcard Exchange

Children learn by doing. Perhaps the best method to learn geography, and about life in other places, is to travel there. If you can't physically go somewhere, learning through an exchange of postcards with children in other parts of the country and the world is possibly the next best thing. In an effort to expose my students to as many places as possible, we are participating in a postcard exchange. We will send out cards with information about our class, school, and community to 100 classes from across the country. We are learning about different states, communities, and the varied differences among classes from different schools. We are also learning about the things that we have in common. This page will showcase the cards and information we have received in return. We will be looking for Albany area or New York postcard donations for us to send out to the other classes. As children bring the cards in, they will be able to share the pictures on them. What a great way to learn about our area! Children are always excited to find all the places they have been. Thanks in advance for your postcard donations.
