About Mrs. Beams

I grew up in Vestal, NY. I went to college in Oneonta and have my Masters Degree in Special Education from Binghamton University. I have been teaching in East Greenbush since 1993. My first job in the district was at Green Meadow teaching special education. I moved to Genet in 1999. This is my fifth year teaching second grade and I love it!

I have a third grader (Aaron) and a fifth grader (Alexander) at home. I talk about them a lot in my stories in school. They go to Westmere Elementary in Guilderland.

We also have a crazy cat. Her name is Trixie.

Even when I was in Second Grade I knew I wanted to be a teacher!
