** Beginning Monday, April 7th we begin the fourth quarter.  During parent/teacher conferences you received confidential information that allows you to see your child's grades and other pertinent information.  I ask that every parent check assignments and progress weekly (I believe you can set it to send you an email every time I post a grade in the system).  This way you will know immediately whether or not your child is completing required assignments.  For all tests and quizzes you will see a grade that is a percent. 

Unfortunately, many students fail to do their HW, which results in lower test grades and ultimately lower averages.  Power School is a great system that will enable you to check their progress daily, weekly, or however often you wish.  I will be posting their homework assignments on Power School for you to see if they are being completed or not.  The will recieve 0 for not completed and 1 for completed.  This will not affect their final grade for the quarter.  The more you check, the more likely they will complete assignments on time.

To Check Grades in Power School:

1) Log on to Power School using the web address, ID and password you were given at conferences.

2) The Grades and Attendance page appears, which shows all averages in all subjects for all quarters.

3) Double click on an average in blue (make sure you choose a grade under the quarter you want to look at) this will pull up all of the assignments and grades that have been posted.

4) You can also double click on any assignment that appears in blue for a description of the assignment (if one has been entered).

5) Remember you can set email notifications to notify you as often as you would like.
