IB UNIT OF INQUIRY: This month we will be focusing on Expression Through Play, investigating how we can express ourselves with toys, games, imagination, and sports. We will look at, not only ourselves, but children at play around the world.
READING FOLDERS: We will start sending home reading folders this month. Inside each folder will be a word-ring of high frequency words (heart words), along with a leveled reading book. The children will practice the words and book at home, return them to school 1-2 times per week, and receive a new book and more words as they are ready. More specific information will come home with the folders.
FUNDRAISER: Mrs. Bills and I would LOVE to attend a conference on using brain-based research as a way to guide instruction. However, it's a bit expensive, so we're planning to set up a fundraising night at Tricks Gym to help us raise money to cover the cost. Please look for information coming home and if you're willing to help us out, we would greatly appreciate it!
AUBURN SYMPHONY: On January 30th the Auburn Symphony will be visiting our school for a school-wide assembly.
